About Me

I am a Shropshire based singing teacher, formerly located in Cardiff, with classical training and many years of teaching experience.

I gained my Performance Diploma from the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama and my Teaching Diploma from ABRSM. I am a member of the Association of Teachers of Singing (AOTOS) and regularly update my professional development as a singing teacher. Recent courses I have attended include AOTOS conference 2022 at Cambridge University, Accent Method of Breathing for Singers - London 2020, AOTOS Summer Conference 2019, Communication of Song - Manchester 2019 and Estil Voice Method - London 2016.

As well as teaching individuals of all ages, I also teach members of local choirs and in schools, including Shrewsbury High School, Bishops Castle Community College and St Winefride's Primary School. Many of my students have gone on to achieve success in their exams, competitions and musical theatre roles. Some have gone on to have successful careers in the entertainment industry. Whilst others simply enjoy singing as a hobby and just want to get better at what they do.

Whatever the reason, I work with all of my pupils to tailor my lessons to help them achieve their ambitions to the very best of their ability.

Singing can be fun as well as challenging, and we can all do it!

Personally I have sung with the National Chorus of Wales for 15 years, joining them on several international tours. I have also made regular appearances at the London Proms and performed as part of a popular Jazz Quartet in Cardiff.
